Clarion Hotel Oslo Overview

There’s something special about staying in the heart of Oslo. Maybe it’s the bustling city center, or it could be the fact that it puts you in the middle of everything that Oslo has to offer.

And the Clarion Hotel Oslo is one of my favorites. The property is located just a short 5-minute walk from the Opera House, and is situated in the center of the city’s Barcode district. But, perhaps the best thing about the hotel is that it offers nearly every amenity that you could want, and for a top-dollar price, some of the rooms also include a balcony overlooking the Barcode district.

This Clarion property offers guest services such as:

  • Room and 24-hour front desk service

  • Flat-screen TVs with media streaming in every room

  • Free WiFi

  • Modern furnishings and comfortable bedding

  • Ensuite bathrooms (Complete with complimentary body products and toiletries)

  • A very friendly staff 🙂

The best hotel breakfast in OsloThe breakfast is over the top!The hotel prepares a tasty breakfast buffet daily that’s so over the top there’s no way you’ll walk away hungry! You’ll find plenty of Norwegian cheeses, different kinds of salmon, dark bread, cereals, porridge, pancakes, fruit juices and much more. In the kitchen area is also a group of chefs preparing hot dishes such as omelets, sausages and bacon.Book your stay here –> Hotels.comBooking.com

This isn’t the only dining choice on the property, though, as there’s also the Kitchen & Table Restaurant and Bar that serves American/Scandinavian-inspired cuisine throughout the day. If you’re looking for a chance of scenery, the hotel has an area called the Living Room, where you can relax with friends and family, as well as the Shutter Bar that serves a variety of drinks and cocktails.

Other amenities include a fitness center and over 1500 square meters that can be used as meeting or conference rooms for business travelers. Yet, most guests report loving the Clarion Hotel Oslo most for its convenient location. With the neighboring Munch Museum and Oslo Opera House, you don’t have to go far to find something to do.

Clarion Hotel Oslo Price

When it comes to booking a hotel, I know that the main concern on most travelers’ minds is the cost to stay per night. And if you’ve spent even the smallest amount of time researching Oslo hotels, then you know this is not a cheap city for accommodations. However, though pricey, the Clarion Hotel Oslo is one of the best places to stay if you want clean, modern rooms and enjoy genuine artwork (it’s on display throughout the hotel).

With that being said, the room prices start at around $260 and go up depending on the room type and the season. But, I would say that this is money well spent. It’s hard to top the location (we’ll discuss this more in the next section), and for being situated in a busy part of Oslo, the rooms are very quiet and also clean, and well-equipped.

The Clarion Hotel Oslo features a central location that’s very close to the Oslo Central Station (trains and buses). Nestled in the heart of the Barcode district, it’s also very close to the neighborhood of Bjørvika, where you’ll find many great restaurants and cafes, as well as landmarks such as:

The Bottom LineIn the end, the Clarion Hotel Oslo is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Oslo, where you’re just a short walk from public transit and the main pedestrian street Karl Johans Gate. The accommodations are clean, modern, and well-equipped, and the location is unbeatable. So, If you can afford the nightly rate, I highly recommend it! This is one of the best hotels in Oslo.
