Norwegian Sweater – Marius Kids Boys

Mariusgenseren or the Marius sweater is a Norwegian icon with a knitted pattern inspired by the traditional Setesdal sweaters. I use mine all the time! Finest merino wool that does not itch which is comfortable on children’s skin.

The pattern for the sweater was designed in 1953 by Unn Søiland. Today it’s one of the most popular classic knitting patterns in Norway. More than 5 million sweaters have been sold, and many many more have been knitted throughout history by Norwegian grandmothers.
